Bill Greene's New Guitar
I am proud to set up this page showing the progress of Bill's D.E.Williams Guitar.
Bill has commissioned a Small Jumbo made from East Indian Rosewood,
with a Sitka Spruce top. It has flamed Tasmanian Black Acacia bindings,
and a Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard and Bridge.

7/20/05 - Bill's guitar is done and delivered !

Here is a nice pic of the end graft wedge of Black Acacia

Looks like this is going to be 4-string git-fiddle!

That's me holding the body and Charlie Lavalee holding the neck.
Charlie is the Finish Expert I contracted to spray the nitrocellulose lacquer for this guitar.
Charlie spent many years doing copious amounts of repair work and finishing
at the Guild Guitars factory in Westerly, Rhode Island.
He is currently the Production Manager for Greene & Campbell Guitars in Pawtucket, RI.
They make electric guitars, as you can see hanging on the wall to the right.
Charlie does the nicest "sunburst" finishes I've ever seen.

As of 6/10/05, the neck is done buffing-out, and the body will be done on 6/13.

These pictures of the final coat of lacquer were taken on 6/4/05.

NOW....For the FINAL Pics!
